new town...new/former rep
I am in a new town and I am a new rep I guess you could say. I was a rep about 10 or so years ago, but I was in my hometown and new everyone. Is there any helpful ideas to get my customer base going?
My setbacks at this time are:
1. I have no vehicle
2. My right ankle is broken so I am not able to walk any where
3. The car is only available after hours and I can't drive
4. My license is suspended because of a traffic violation a few months back and well...it is hard for me to get others to drive me, considering they work all day/everyday
wow ~ I'm sorry to hear about your broken ankle ~ hopefully it will heal quickly. BTW ~ Welcome back to Avon and to our group :)
Here are a couple of ideas:
1. If you have any older children you could have them walk around the neighborhood passing out your Avon books for you.
2. If you are married or have a boyfriend ~ have him take some books to work to give to his co-workers.
3. You could also post a flyer letting people know you are an Avon Rep on bulletin boards you may have around town with your name, ph # and website addy.

Thanks for the ideas :) I guess I can only use the last one considering we are both technically unemployed right now and well...I don't have my children, so that is out of the question

Hi and welcome back to Avon! I can understand overcoming difficulties in order to make your business grow. I have Fibromyalgia and am disabled - I deal with chronic pain 24/7. But believe me this doesn't stop me from working on my business. Take this down time to review all those training videos on youravon.com, and update your web page. You can also create a Facebook business page to spread the word about your business - then have friends and family share that page for you on their walls. When I did this people contacted me immediately and I got several direct delivery orders on the site. I actually stopped asking people to share the page so I could catch up! LOL Can your husband help you pass out books on your street? Maybe a friend can help? I know it's hard to ask for help, but people usually will. If you need more ideas feel free to contact me. Good luck and keep growing!
