GREEN MOMMA'S:
Tell everyone a little about yourself.   Like your name, where your from, your children, your hobbies, etc. Also some reasons you may have joined this group! Let's get to know each other!

To start, my name is Rebecca, I am from Tampa Florida, I have two children...Sienna (3yrs) and Christian (10yrs).  I have been married to my husband Abel for a little over 10 years and I love to read and spend time with my family.  I made this group because I feel it is very important to spread as much knowledge as possible on this subject.  People take things for granted...but I do think it is our responsibility to look at the facts and do what we can to help the situation in front of us.  And I know I could learn a lot from other's input.  Oh and I love getting to know other mommies on CafeMom of course!
Your Turn...

Ever gave the topic of "going green" much thought?  We are a group of Momma's "green momma's" who want to make a change in this world starting one family at a time.  Take a look and maybe...JOIN!

Hello, my name is Stacy.  I am a mother of three small children Breanna (6), Jacob (3) and Courtney (1).  I also run a Gourmet Candle business from my home www.SoyCandlesOfTheValley.com.  Our products are all natural and smell great.  I love the fact that people are now becoming more aware of our enviroment!  We should have done it decades ago.  I can't wait to chat with this new group!

I have joined this group bc I would like to know how to be GREEN, also to teach my children so they will know and have the knowlage of how to do this so they can teach their kids as well. Like I said I have not done anything like this before, I have always wanted to but didn't know how. I am looking for this group to help out in getting started and staying with it. I hope that I can find out how to do this and it become a part of everyday life.

hi all..my name's terry. i have two awesome kids, ian 2, and taylor 10 months. manny and i have been married for over 4 yrs and been together a total of 7. it wasn't till earlier this yr that we really made a conscious decision to be more responsible in what we do in our everyday lives and the legacy we'll leave behind for our children and their children and so forth. i think that for awhile there i felt like people were hyping being green because it was like the cool new fashion, ya know, and i didnt want anything to do with it. but the more i thought about it, i realized its not about being hip in someone else's eyes or a passing phase. its real. we have to do something now. so as my kids get older, i hope to teach them about how we can help conserve the resources we have and just a better life. im a newbie to it so any and all advice is more than welcome!

Hi my name is Angela. I will be 30 on Sunday November 8th. I have been married to Eddie for 5 years now and we have 3 beautiful daughters. Madison 4, Jacquelynn 20 months, and Brooklyn 2 months. I am a SAHM who does whatever I am into at that moment to make money for my fun time. I have always been into the "Green" thing for as long as I can remember. It only gets more intense with every year that goes by. I remember seeing my neighbors garage full of newspapers when I was in the 2nd grade and I asked my dad what the heck the world was going to do with all those papers. So I got into recycling in 2nd grade. Right now there is a stor near us that pays money for cans and I told the kids in my neighbor that all they have to do is bring me cans and I will pay them for each can. i had been noticing litter everywhere so that is how I helped with that. Anyway, I am rambeling. i love doing my part and I am trying to convince my hubby to do the same. My kids do what I do so thats easy. Hope to get to know you all!!

I am up to $279.30 and its only Nov 14th doing.....http://cashcrate.com/349364

I try to do my part to go green.  Hi My Name is Lisa by the way.
I recently traded in my gas hogger SUV and we got a Chrysler Aspen which takes the E85 ethanol gas, which I feel very good about doing.
I work for a green company and help promote awareness, with fundraisers and help others work at home with my company.  I try to eat organic food as much as we can, although it is hard when there is no place to eat fast food that is organic.
Luckily there is a store near me, where that is all they sell.
We could still do our part more. We haven't gone all the way with recycling yet, but I would like to.
We try our best.
Oh by the way I am married and have a 2 year old son, who I stay home and raise. I only work when he is napping.

My name is Rose and I am a 20 yr old mother from Puerto Rico living in Georgia with my wonderful husband, Jorge, and our 15 month old son, Javier.  I enjoy music, singing/dancing, watching TV, being on CafeMom here with you lovely ladies, and reading.  I am more of a home body than anything but I do love that occasional 'night out.'

I work at a private instructional school for children with learning/physical disabilties such as dyslexia, PDD, cerebral palsy, etc.  As a matter of fact, tomorrow we are having a Green Day tomorrow at work.  We recently started recycling and we got filtered water instead of water cooler.  We also have changed our light bulbs etc.  and even car pooling.

I think this is a fantastic idea for a group and I think more people should join!!

i am melanie in bushkill, pa.  i have 4 kids, ages 11(this friday actually), 4, 3 and 23 months old.  i am a writer for my local paper.  we are a natural and organic family.  your health is important and using too many chemicals and artificial stuff is very unhealthy.  i get picked on by family and friends, with the exception of my mom who is also organic and natural.  too many people do not realize the importance of going green.

Hi!  My name is Jen I'm a 39 yr old SAHM of 2!  Jaret is 5 and in Kindergarten and Rachel is 3 turning 4 on Dec. 11!  I've been married to my Best Friend Steve for 7 years!  We live in NJ (South Jersey on the Delaware Bay) My hobbies are Selling on eBay, Reading, Gardening and my favorite Camping!  I think it's extremely important to be "Green" I do everything possible such as compost, break down cardboard, and sort all recycleables, switched lightbulbs and have recently caulked windows to keep the cold out!  I just made my own reusable grocery bags this past weekend and I'm looking to meet some "Green Friends" and learn some tips!  This should be a very interesting Group, thanks for taking the time to start this!

My name is Jennifer, I am 30 years old and have been married for almost 9 years.  We have a 20 month old daughter.  We live in Ohio.
We have been green for awhile now.  From buying organic tampons, to organic foods, we use chlorine free bleach and chlorine free diapers and wipes etc.  We replaced all of our lightbulbs, I use cloth tote bags for groceries, we recycle, I buy recycled paper products.  We pretty much only drink water in our house and I save any leftover water by putting it in a large pitcher I keep next to my sink and I use the water to water my plants and fill the dogs bowl.  It's hard to list out everything we do to help save this beautiful planet.  We try our best - I have been trying to offset some of our carbons by donating to plant trees through americanforests.org.  We also donate to the WWF.
I'm someone who gets upset on garbage day, when I drive down the street and see houses with no recycling bags next to the garbage.  It's something so simple, yet people just don't care or are too lazy, I'm not sure.
Well, thats me in a nutshell...

Hi everyone!!  My name is Laura and I am a married Mom of two girls ages 10 and 11.  We have just recently begun doing things that could help the environment.  We have always recycled but we have been replacing our light bulbs and I am in the process of trying to find some good "green" cleaning products to replace all of the chemical ones.  I hope to learn a lot from this group.
