Have you seen the ad on the home page for method laundry detergent?
have any of you tried it? what reviews would you give?
We use gain and add some oxyclean with my husbands clothes as sometimes he tends to work on vehicles or do other projects in his clothes and need to get some of the stains out.
I'm always up to try something new and that is always safer for the enviroment, but before I went and bought this just didn't know if you all had comments about it.
I may still buy it, even though my husband will give me an ear full about it since he's not much for change.
I make my own laundry soap and you can do it for like $3.50 for 4 gallons and it works incredibly well for stains and even mustard and grease. I am a mother of 3 and a Welder and we get really DIRTY and it takes EVERYTHING out. If you need more information just e-mail me @ CammieHURST@msn.com and I can give you an easy 3 ingredient recipe.

Will you post it? My hubbs works on cars and his grease and oil stains nEVER completely come out!!
i use xtra or purex but i have noticed the xtra is not cleaning that well and i have to use too much. i am thinking about changing brands. i have not heard of method laundry detergent.
Yes plz post the ingrediant for thelaundry soap. When I wash I let the load sit there 15-20 min after it runs to get the soap mixed and right before it drains to fill up to rinse.I was told it would help get the clothes cleaner because the soap has time to sit on the close and get stains out better.
GOD first ppl next things last you cant go wrong and w/ GOD and JESUS around you,you will be a a triple strand rope
Also interested in 3 ingredient home soap. I have made my own before which worked well but ALOT of work. I have a septic tank & recently had it cleaned out. The man commented that I must use alot of bleach, really don't want to know what he saw to say that! He suggested using white vinegar about 1/2 cup in my laundry to brighten it. If I have time I use it in 2nd rinse & then just run through again otherwise just put in laundry as filling up & it seems to help with no vinegar smell & whitening up things. I have never heard of Method either though sorry!
Method works as well as any detergent I've used. I only buy it if I have a coupon. I like that the bottle is so small. Less waste to go to landfills. I'd like to try making my own, too.
1 cup of washing soda
1 cup of borax
1 bar of fels~naptha
I melt down the felsnaptha bar in four cups of water, on the stove after I grate it with a dollar store cheese grater lol then add to a 5 gallon bucket with the powders and fill to the top with water, let it sit for 24 hours then stir well before using. Lately though I've been using 2 cups of the washing soda and borax!
Extra bonus, the felsnaptha smells like heaven lol!
I LOVED using that! My friend said she used it for a while and it made her washing machine stinky. When she said that, I figured out THAT was what was making mine stinky. I haven't had a problem since.
I use ALL. I was a TIDE girl when I had to wash my DHs uniforms, but ALL does everything I need and I can find it really cheap.
Quoting rkoloms:I use Ecos by Earth Friendly. I get a huge jug at Costco that lasts at least six months.
