My little grandson, Blake, is in the hospital with a viral infection... he is struggling to breath.  Please pray for him!

Blake was released from the hospital!! Praise God! He's gone home with breathing treatments and meds but he is on the mend... they are seeing some specialists this week to narrow down the asthma problem and see if that is really it or something else. Thank you all for you prayers, they are so much appreciated! Love & Hugs!

Just a little update on Blake... he is doing good today... his progression has slowed a bit but he is still headed in the right direction. They are weening him off some of the meds and it has been hard on the little guy. Your continued prayers are appreciated! Love & Hugs!

Praise the Lord! Blake is doing much better this morning! Through the night they were able to shut off the vent for periods of time and he was breathing on his own and this morning they removed it! Hallelujah! He took some water and said "Dada" music to mom and dad's ears! Labs are not back yet but they believe asthma might be an underlying cause that prevented him from fighting the infection. They'll be practicing asthma prevention when they go home along w/ how to handle it. Blake will ultimately determine their stay, but if his progression continues this pattern they will be home sooner than later. Thank you all so much for your prayers, they were definitely answered. Please continue to pray for his recovery and dealing with asthma. Love & Hugs!

From Dawn (my daughter): Besides the excellent treatment from St. John Hospital, we attribute this extreme turnaround to everyone's prayers. We can't thank everyone enough. Please have a safe and happy new years!

Just returned from the hospital... Blake is doing a little bit better tonight... his blood gases are up and every 3 hours they are turning the vent off for 15 minutes and he is breathing on his own. They still don't know the underlying cause... labs for the infection take 3 days... He still has a long road of recovery ahead but he is headed in the right direction! Thank you all so much for your prayers, please continue to pray! Love & Hugs!

If you can please request an angel, smiley or butterfly for Blake. There is no charge. Blake Paton - 31035 San Juan St, Harrison Township, MI 48045.

Praise God for a Good report ! I,myself know how scary asthma can be,in 2008 my grandson went info a very bad attack,he had to be resucciated by the EMS drivers, our lives haven't been the same since. I am prayerful for your grandson, may his lungs continue to open,as the infection also leave his body. God bless you,and HAPPY NEW YEAR !
