My dad told me about this site.  It has household items you can pick and have it shipped to your house for free.  I was wondering if anyone has used this and what you thought of the prices.  Thanks!

  • I went looking around on Alice.com and it seems to me that things are much more expensive than I can get them at a local storefront.

  • I took a peek at it and some of the prices are higher, but it would be good for people who don't really like looking through coupons or going to the grocery store all the time.

  • I tried it once. My problem is that they charge sales tax on everything and we are only supposed to have to pay taxes on non-food items. So that adds almost 9% to the bill, right off the top. We live in California, where the taxes are outrageous anyway, so I refuse to pay any more than I have to. And, I found that even though they have coupons automatically applied, they weren't the best. They had a 35cent coupon for Tide, but the newspaper just had a $1.00 coupon for Tide the same day.

So, for the convenience, I might go back if they fix the tax thing.
