I want this to be a relaxed atmosphere where we can all share deals, free stuff and savings at local stores, online shops and more. Please do not use foul language and be respectful of your fellow member. So, Please! Let's play nice and start saving!

Some General guidelines:

1. You may post any deal that is free, of a significant savings or an article related to saving $$, on & offline store sales, budget & saving information and your own tips & tricks. See guideline below if it relates to your own business (Promoting your Business Specials, Affiliate Links & WAH Biz Opps).  Join our coupon group if you'd like to post coupons you have or jump on a train.

2.  Please refrain from using foul language or risqué photos in your posts or in your replies. It is just as easy to put in a word or photo that is appropriate for all ages.  Also, if your signature tag has a swear word (many are using the B word) or risqué photo, please do not use it. The administrators have been instructed to delete any post or reply that has foul language or risqué photos in the body of the post/reply or in the signature line.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

3. Please post each freebie or offer in its own individual post, DO NOT combine them. They are harder to search for when combined.

4. PLEASE do a search (Search Posts) before you post and try not to duplicate a post. If your post is a duplicate, please know that it may be deleted without notification, especially if it is in close proximity to the original (same) post. With over 30,000 members & over a 5000 posts it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain, especially when there are duplicate posts.

5. Please post DIRECT links to freebies, web content, etc and not through third-party sites (such as your personal blog or a freebie site).  If the content is your own (on your personal blog) please post the information/content and not just a link to your blog. 

6. Please post freebie & money-saving web sites in the group Links section and not in the main forum.

7. Please DO NOT request e-mail addresses from members for any reason.... to send a referral, newsletters, etc. This is to protect our members.  Referral Example:  You must give an alternate option than receiving a referral from you. Example: If you sign up for XYZ Newsletter you will receive a $5 gift card, here is the link: blahblah.com. If you would like to help me out by getting a referral from me, I will receive $1 when you sign up. Thanks!

8. Please join Deals & Steals Get Paid To... Opportunities, our sister group and post ALL get paid to opportunities there, including survey & prize sites. This includes requests for using a referral code, you can post directly to that post here: GPT Promote & Refer! Category. This also includes requests for referrals to sites like Revolution Money Exchange, ZenZuu, Obopay, Ebates, PhotoMax, Artcow (or any photo storage site), uanditrade.com & others like them.  Please join our sister group to ASK questions about particular opps or to ask for invites. PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THE MAIN DEALS & STEALS FORUM!!

9. Please keep posts relevant.  We are about "Deals" & "Steals".  Please do not post subjects regarding political, religious or other possibly controversial views/opinions.  Please DO NOT post Amber Alerts (you can post these in your journal area, signature tag or send to your friends list). Do not ask members to sign petitions regarding these views.  Do not post to ask members to vote for you in contests or games.  Do not ask for BoxTops. Do not ask for Pepsi, Coke, Pamper's or any other type points from our members.  Let's keep drama free!  If you would like to post something off topic (OT), you MUST get permission from the group owner:  JHanc968.

10. Sister Groups.  If you have coupons to swap or give, join our sister group:  Deals & Steals Coupon Swappers.  If you have been accepted in the "House Party" program,  post in our sister group:  Deals & Steals House Party Central.  If you have things to swap or items for sale, post in our sister group:   Deals & Steals Swap Station. PLEASE FO NOT POST IN OUR MAIN FORUM! 

Your "For Sale" Items, Fundraising & Requests for Charity Donations:

We no longer allow posting of your own "For Sale" items, Fundraising Requests or Charity Donation Requests.  The exceptions to this rule are the charities we are allowing to post; Deals & Steals for Charity and Links of Love. Please understand if we allow everyone to post these types of links, we would be overrun by them thereby defeating the purpose of the group.

Promoting your Business Products, Specials, Affiliate Links & WAH Biz Opps

We will NOT be allowing posting of your business products, information, web sites, specials or freebies, mainly because many of us operate the same or similar business and if we allow one, we will have to allow all.

NOTE: You MAY promote your business or whatever you choose (no profanity or adult content material) in your signature tag.  However, it must be a reasonable length/size.  You may NOT have a signature tag longer/bigger than ONE & A HALF Cafemom's recommended "green" section.  See the group owner's tag (it is currently one & a quarter of cm's guideline).  Cafemom Signature Tag Guidelines.  It you are replying with one word responses in order to get your huge signature visible, it will be deleted.

If you have an opportunity for someone looking to join your business, post only in Home Biz Opps! Post HERE Only! thread. This includes photos in the photo section. Posts & photos of this nature in the main forum & photo album will be deleted. "Ads" will remain for 3 months and then be deleted. If you post a new "Ad", you MUST delete your old "Ad".  DO NOT POST IN THE MAIN FORUM!

We DO NOT allow posting of affiliate links, referral links or reseller codes (including Freebie Force, BigCrumbs, VMC Satellite, Smart Win Shop, Artscow (or any photo storage site),  & Magic Kids USA. These are links that earn you (the promoter) a percentage of the sales received, a fixed amount for a referral or entries into a contest. The exceptions to this rule are the charities we are allowing to post; Deals & Steals for Charity and Links of Love. Please understand if we allow everyone to post these types of links, we would be overrun by them thereby defeating the purpose of the group.

We use the 3 strike rule in regards to violations of the guidelines for this group.  If you violate the guidelines 3 times, you will be removed from the group.
