How to be successful at GPT's

Here is a step-by-step guide to start making money on GPT sites.   Last month I made a little over $500 through these sites alone! If you have a couple extra hours a week, it's a great way to earn a little extra something ;)

1. Start off by downloading 2 essential pieces to getting your offers to credit.  Ccleaner.com and roboform.com.  Ccleaner is a cookie cleaner.  You want to clear your cookies after EVERY offer.  When you download this it will download the yahoo toolbar if you want, and there will be a small button on the toolbar for it.  All you have to do is click that button and your cookies will clear.  Roboform is a form filler.  It saves SO MUCH typing.  One click and you can have your name, addy, phone, dob... anything.... I use this alot also when filling out for freebies.

2. Create a new email account. You don’t want to get spam in your regular email inbox so create a secondary email address to use with a free service like gmail.  Plus with gmail, you can keep using the same one, just add a period after each letter.  EX:
ilovecafemom@gmail.com
i.lovecafemom@gmail.com
i.lo.vecafemom@gmail.com
They all go to the intial email you set up, eg: ILOVECAFEMOM@GMAIL.COM

3.  Sign up with any or all of the GPT's below. The more sites you sign up with = more offers and surveys = more money!  But you also want to be careful because most sites have alot of the same offers.  And if you get caught doing the same offer twice you can get banned!  A big no-no.

4. Lets do some offers!  OK.  Now you are ready to do some offers....... We will pretend we are going to BowlingforCash.com to do some offers.
a.  Log in to your account.
b.  On the left of the page click on ALL OFFERS.
c.  On this page you will see different offers.  From the drop down menu you can choose by date, trials, freebies etc.., if you were looking for a certain offer.EXAMPLE... *I have blocked certain advertisers names as I don't think I am allowed to post it on a public forum*

d.  Ok, pick an option from the above list.  Lets say we want to go under the email/zip submit free offers. (the first option on the drop down menu).  So we click on that.  Here is what we will get...

e.  Now, lets say you have NEVER done the first offer on the list so you want to try it.  Click either the picture (blacked out) or the offer name (also blacked out). (I typed in pink above in the picture to the right of where you would click).
f.  Ok, now you have clicked the offer and it opens in a new window.  (Make sure your POP UP blocker is OFF).  This offer is just a zip code submit.  All you do is type your zip, and click ok or whatever.
g.  BEFORE you X out of the offer page, go BACK to the GPT site page (above), and type in EXACTLY what you typed in the offer page.  For this offer it was your zip code... Type it, and click submit.
h.  I like to wait a minute or two to allow the advertiser to track the cookie....After a minute, go to the pop-up page and close it.  Now clear your COOKIES.....
i.  Thats it!  You have done an offer.

OK... Now, here is some stuff that you really need to pay attention to....

Always give your real information.  If you arent comfortable giving your home phone number there are ways to get a free phone number  try privatephone.com....   You do need to give you real name and address, but this is where you want to make sure to have extra email accts, like we talked about before.Advertisers are not paying the websites to receive dead leads. They are paying the websites for information that they can use. Giving false information, is known as fraud and will not be tolerated by any of the Get Paid To Websites!  The advertisers will find out who is giving the false information and will contact us. If a website is notified by an advertiser that one of their members is giving false information, they will immediately delete their account from their database and black list them, without sending their earnings.
Step 3. All about cookies.
For those that don't know what a cookie is, pretty much, a cookie is used to track what a user is doing on a web site. This is how the advertisers keep track of who is doing what offers, so it is very important that you allow cookies when you are doing the offers, or you will not get credited. Follow these steps to allow your PC to accept cookies. Remember, you can always put the settings back to what you had them at before, after you are done completing offers.

Open up Internet Options in your Internet Explorer, which can be found in the Tools section, at the top of the window..

Click on the privacy tab.

Move your settings bar all the way down to "accept all cookies" then press "Apply" and then "OK".

It is also important to clear you cookies in between offers. This is to give you a fresh start when doing a new offer and to prevent any kind of conflicts between offers. You might be interested in doing a different offer from the same advertiser, but sometimes they will not credit because it shows with the cookies that you have already done the offer. A software that you can use to clear cookies is the one we mentioned in step 1, CCleaner. This software will clear your cookies in one click. If you would like to clear your cookies manually in Internet Explorer, just go to your Internet Options like we showed before and click on "delete cookies", "delete files" and "clear history", then press "apply" and "ok".

Step 4. Don't be so defensive.
If you are behind a firewall or using a proxy server, you are being defensive. By using a firewall or proxy server you will have problems getting credited from the advertisers. Here are the definitions of a firewall and proxy server from wikipedia. Almost every education center will have a firewall.  I recommend doing the offers from your own home and from one computer.  They do not allow members to use proxy servers. This is to prevent cheaters. Some people like to create multiple accounts to do multiple offers. If we notice that you are trying to log in from a different IP then from what you registered with or are using a proxy server, your account will be blocked and you will be marked as a cheater. They will investigate your account and take the appropriate actions. If you have access to your firewall, make sure to disable it when doing the offers.

Step 5. Use the correct browser.
I recommend using Internet Explorer when doing the offers. It is the most reliable and it shouldn't interfere with the tracking process when doing the offers and should give you a higher success rate when getting credited. Firefox works as well, but I believe that IE is more reliable for doing the offers. Do not use AOL or Netscape. By using these browsers, they will show up like you are using a proxy server, which can block you from getting credited.
Step 6. If you still don't receive credit.
If you did a trial offer, and you feel that you did everything correctly, you can fill a non-credit form with us. Please note that you can not file a non-credit form for the free offer. They have no way of getting credit for an offer that was free. Please file a non-credit from with the website if you have done none of the following:

If you did the offer only for the intent to receive incentives. This is not why they provide the offers. They provide the offers to give members the opportunity to find products and services they are interested in, and giving them incentives for it.
Cancelled 1-2 days after doing the offer. You must still be, a paying customer for our advertisers when asking to get credited. If you cancelled and you are trying to get credit, it just tells the website and the advertisers that your intension's where not in the product or the service.
Please wait at least 7 days before filling a non-request from. Some offers do take longer then others to credit. If you have done neither of the 2 above, then you can file a non-credit form. Below is how you can file a non-credit form with us:

Find the "File a complaint" link, in the Help Center section, in the website.
Fill in all the information required.
Please send the website the confirmation email you received from the advertiser with the full letter header. They need this information to do our checking. If you do not know how to do find your full email header, here are the instructions. Please delete any login information with your email.
After we receive all the information that we need, they will go ahead and process the non-credit form with the advertisers.

The most important thing you can do is CLEAR YOUR COOKIES!!!!!  Use different emails.  AND NEVER DO THE SAME OFFER TWICE!!!!!  I know this seems like alot, but once you get the hang of it, it is CAKE... Just check out my payment proofs on the forum!!!!! Please ask questions if you are unsure.  Also read the HOW-TO guides on the GPTs.  They are VERY helpful and detailed..

I join sites called GPT sites, which stands for Get Paid To, like, click ads, do surveys, sign up for sites, even just enter you email or zip!! It's super easy and fun!! I also own a group at Cafemom.com- http://www.cafemom.com/group/weloveGPT
Well, I'll list them here, but feel free to visit me at my site... http://www.freewebs.com/gptsites-makemoneyfromhome  On the site I have listed "Tips &Tricks" to help get your offers to credit better, and the one for AW surveys- def. sign up on that one. For me, the first 6 sites are the BEST!! If for some reason the links don't work, just go to that particular site and sign up , when it asks who referred you just please put in the name kevinsgirl!! Thanks.

The only part of your post that I don't agree with is:

"Give the product or service a try. Don't do the trial and cancel right after you've received the incentives. This shows up as a red flag for the the advertisers. Give the product a try. If you don't like the product or service, then cancel, but don't do the offers just to receive the incentives. "

If you're interested in the offer, then of course, go ahead and give it a try. I did this with a Netflix offer. I stayed on after the free trial and was credited $12 for a service I'm only paying $8/mo. for (which is a helluva lot cheaper than renting movies!) But I don't believe that you always have to be interested, or even pretend to be interested, and stay on after the free trial. The sites clearly state that it's a free trial and that you can cancel at any time. Different people will be interested in different offers and I think that balances it all out. These sites are about regular, everyday people (including lots of moms!) making money. The advertisers might lose money sometimes, but we're talking about huge companies that aren't exactly lacking for funds. So if a company loses $5 because it turns out I don't have any use for eFax, when it helps me to pay my bills and feed my kids, then I'm not going to feel bad about it. If all of that sounded rude or anything, I certainly didn't intend for it to sound that way. You did a great job explaing the basics of doing GPT sites.

You won't get rich, but you will make REAL money!

Actually...I agree with ikepoo. I think what she was trying to say...is don't try a product unless you are interested in them. If you don't like it during the trial process...yes...you can cancel before the trial end date. There used to be alot more trials on sites about a year ago. In July....many people lost hundreds of dollars from their accounts and were banned from gpt sites for doing a ton of trials and canceling within a day (since obviously it became a red flag). This caused one of the biggest sites to actually have to close it's doors...and many other sites lost networks...which means...we members lost alot of offers. These sites are great for us to earn cash...but that is not what they were designed for...they were designed for advertisers to eventually make money from people interested, who then keep the products!

Freebies are a different story...they are to generate leads for several different companies/peoples/lists.

This is not to say...that you have to continue on with services beyond the trial end date if you don't enjoy the product/service...but I can guarantee that if people do trials in excess (like 5 trials a day and cancel the next)...just to do trials for cash and not out of interest...it will become a red flag to networks (who provide offers to gpt sites)/advertisers/sites.

It just really comes down to being interested in it, at least:)

The bottom line is that advertisers are paying money to people to try their products and services, people who are genuinely interested in what the advertiser is selling.  They look at how many people continue with a product or service vs. those who signed up and canceled.  If they're not seeing a good number of people continuing with the product or service, they will feel they're wasting their advertising money and will pull out of GPTs and advertise elsewhere.  While they may be big companies, they don't want to waste their money anymore than you or I do.  So, if you have a genuine interest in something, by all means, give it a try!  But please don't do it just for the money you'll receive for trying it.

Just like freebies, trials won't always credit.  Which is another good reason to only do ones you have a genuine interest in.  I have only had this happen twice out of a bunch that I did have credit... I still am active on one of the "trials" although it is no longer a trial now.  Stamps.com, never creditied for me.  I know it does for most people, but it didn't for me for some reason?

I think your instructions are great pinupgirl (ikee, lol)!  Alot of people think that they can go onto sites and do 50 trials, and make easy cash!  Your instructions explain it very well!  Keep up the great work with the group:)

I never even heard of a gpt until this post.  I'm sure if I had heard of it, I would have automatically assumed that it was a scam.  I'm def going to check this stuff out but my question is about the trial offers.  For instance, if youre trying..say..a magazine, if you don't cancel on the day the trial ends, are you billed for it later?
