Ladies, better get your shrimp now, we may not be able to afford it for a while. (Can barely afford it now)

I hardly ever buy shrimp outside of Lenten season.  That's the only time it goes on sale around here(Nebraska).

I fortunately live in the mid coast Maine area and am able to buy direct from the boat. I usually get 30-40 pounds fresh unpeeled shrimp, peel and freeze it in quart bags. It usually costs under sixty cents a pound. It's a lot of work but thankfully dh helps!

I live in Idaho and we haven't had much of an issue with buying it. Personally, I've never liked the taste of shrimp but DH does, so we may buy it once a month or every 2 months.
