Hi Everybody!!  I want to plan a trip with my 14yr old granddaughter this summer.  We are starting a tradition with our grandchildren that when they graduate from middle-school to high school, we take them on a trip somewhere (in the US).   My husband took one of our grandsons to a "dude ranch" last year.  Just to let you know that I am "out of the loop" with teenagers.  My grandkids live out of town, so it's not like I get a daily dose of them to know what they are in to. My granddaughter is athletic, loves swimming, starting to like boys :( and last year she had Bieber fever.  She hasn't told me what she really wants to do, but I want her to have fun.  So any suggestions will be taken under consideration.  Thank you, in advance, for your help!!

Islands of Adventure & Universal Studios in Orlando is great for teens.

Rent a cabin in Gatlinburg, TN. They have skiiing there and Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge has something for everyone. Tons of amusing & fun things to do as well as Dollywood.

If she is into Comics they are having Comic-Con is great fun. They are having one in SanDiego, CA and New York City. Check out the web sites:

New York City is a great place for teens. TONS of crazy fun and sightseeing to do.
