If you are doing a spicy breading, a tart taste would be good - like a pineapple salsa or a cranberry relish. Raspberry viniagrette in a salad.

If your breading is mild, a sweeter side would also work, like applesauce or corn salsa, green beans, asparagus, glazed carrots.

The VERY EASY way to make breaded pork chops is to buy the shake and bake for pork chops.  It comes with the bag and the seasoning.  It advises how to prep them (I think either dipped in milk or water) then you shake the chops in the bag and stick it in the oven to bake.

Otherwise, dip in milk or water, dredge in seasoned bread crumbs and bakr or fry them.

Breaded Pork Chops

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 4 bone-in pork loin chops (1/2 inch thick and 6 ounces each)
  • 1 carton (8 ounces) spreadable chive and onion cream cheese
  • 3 tablespoons chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Directions:

In a shallow bowl, beat the egg. Place the bread crumbs in another shallow bowl. Dip pork chops into egg, then coat with crumbs. Place in a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until a meat thermometer reads 160°. In a small saucepan, combine the cream cheese, broth and milk. Cook and stir over medium heat for 5 minutes or until smooth and blended. Serve with pork chops. Yield: 4 servings.

SIDE DISHES:

Stove top stuffing
Mashed potatoes & gravy
Corn on the cob
creamed corn
carrots
green beans
baked beans and corn bread
macaroni & cheese
baked potatoes
baked sweet potatoes
sweet potato fries

Pork cops are so simple and delicious!!!
I like boneless (med sized sliced chops)

1. Heat shortening (1/2c) in pan over med. heat
2. Beat one egg in bowl
3. Combine 1c. flour with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper, dash paprika, 1/2 tsp garlic salt in seperate bowl.
4. Dip both sides of the pork chop in egg, then dredge in flour mixture.
5. Drop chops in hot shortening (it should crackle) DONT MOVE THE CHOPS ONCE THEY ARE IN THE PAN!! You want them to brown and carmalize-it makes a great crust.
6. cook 5-6 min on one side then flip and cook 4-5 more min.
7. drain chops on paper towls.

I serve mine with red skins-on mashed potatoes, and green beans
Good luck!!

To make it easy and healthy....
Mix:
1/2 cup bread crumbs (add more if needed)
1 TBSP parmesan cheese
a little salt and pepper
I sprinkle garlic powder on each pork chop while they are cooking
Put in large Ziploc. Add pork chops one at a time and shake to coat. Place pork in a heated skillet coated with PAM spray or a little oil (add more or spray more PAM as needed)

These are really good.
I serve them with a green salad, corn and rice or cut up fried potatoes sprinkled with garlic, salt and pepper (fried in a skillet with PAM)
My whole family eats them up.
