I decided to make this thread for anyone's tips on repurposing common items for other than their intended pursose.  For example:

To get stuck-on food off a pan, soak the pan overnight with a dryer sheet.

Another hairspray tip: got this from a friend's mom... if you have some of that sticky sticker residue on something, squirt a little hairspray on it and it COMES RIGHT OFF!!! It's incredible. Rubbing alcohol works too I think.
Peace,
Janet :-)

In 2006 (don't have totals for 2007 yet) I purchased 95% organic food and saved 50% on my annual grocery bill with coupons! My annual grocery total would have been $6000 but I saved $3000 with coupons! WOO-HOO! I want to help you do it too! Check out my group:

Wonderful!  I've got some windows like that and goo gone never worked on it.  2 years later and I still have sticky on my "new" windows.  LOL.  I'm gonna try it.

Jar lids - from peanut butter, mayo, spaghetti sauce... make great saucers for the kids' paint. Just wash and re-use then store them with the other paint supplies.

Use coast soap to take stains out of white clothing.

Use old bassinett, play yard, or crib sheets to cover outdoor play equipment or strollers that have to be kept outside.  These old sheets make great covers (like the ones car enthusiasts use to cover their shiny cars with the expensive wash and wax) so your strollers, wagons, ride-ons don't get dusty and dirty.
