I'm flying to Ireland via Amsterdam with an 8 hour stop over. I'm wondering if you guys can share your experience with me.

Let me just say I did contact the airplane carrier and I have had no luck with answers thus far.

Firstly, do you think I'd be able to take snacks with me, like yogurt, fruit, cheese etc if they are sealed in the original packaging?

2ndly did you ever request a diabetic meal and found that it was everything except diabetic, ie carb overload? I read on another post that has happened to a lot of people so they opt to take their own snacks.

3rdly, if I take snacks is it something I need to declare or is it good enough to just make everyone aware that I am diabetic.

This is so stressfull! I'm also travelling with my almost 1 yo DD for the first time and I'm stressing out!

THANKS!
