HI there mamas- I am not new to homeschooling as this is our 3rd full year but I am new to Wisconsin. I am a Minnesotan born and bred though so not a big stretch. Plus, we spent the last 2.5 years exiled in Iowa-LOL! I'm in
La Crosse, how about everyone else? We've been here about 3 months. It's slow going but it's going. We haven't found a church yet but we have found an AWANA group and a bible study and a HS co-op group. Right now I am struggling with motivation on my part. I am not into school during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. I figure if we can get some LA and Math done then we'll be okay. But otherwise we do enjoy Unit Studies and just living life. I always seem to have one foot in the unschooling camp which scares the jimmies out of a lot of mamas.

Hi, welcome! I have family in the Cities, so we go thru EuClaire (sp), which maybe might be close-ish to LaCross???
Anyway I understand about the whole motivation struggle, but your comment totally cracks me up!

Eau Claire is about 1 1/2 hours away although we do get one of their news channels down here. DH and I are actually from the Cities and still have lots of family and friends there. As much as I would love to go back, I have to say that I like La Crosse and I LOVE Wisconsin homeschooling laws so much better than Iowa (where we were before we came here) and MN.

Hello ALL!
I'm in Eau Claire, WI. Grew up in Shakopee, MN. We have family still in MN so we visit a lot! I even married my hubby in the MOA in The Chapel Of Love! As for being a cheesehead, well we don't eat any dairy. Still I want one of those HATS!

Hi all!
We are over here in Baldwin, about 15 minutes from the border of MN...and literally about 30 minutes from DT Saint Paul. I was born and raised for 15 years in Minneapolis, MN but have lived here in WI my entire adult life.
