I was wondering what everyone uses for curriculum. We are not happy, and haven't been, with what we are using. I was just kind of searching around to see what everyone eles uses, or if you can recommend anything.

That's too bad! What are you using? Don't be afraid to keep trying different things! Also visit the library and check out different ideas. We use many different things. Some of what we love are Veritas Press, Well Trained Mind, Basically Bluedorn, Modern Curriculum Press. I still haven't found a math we like.
Are you a cheesehead? Do you homeschool? Check out my group!

We use ACE PACES, I feel like there is no learning, it is all read and find the answer word for word....I just need to find something that makes the kids think, otherwise I feel they won't take much out of it in the long run.

Hi. I am really pretty happy with what we use which is... Math U See, Learning Language Arts Through Literature (LOVE!!) and Konos for everything else. Plus, we're beginningto dabble in lapbooking which seems like it's going to be really fun and add some pizzaz to our schooling.
I have really just been doing A TON of research using all kinds of different resources. Decided upon the Harcourt series that is sold in Barnes & Noble & Borders. I have just been spending a lot of time looking through resources and curriculum books, gauging what they all offer. I also bought "Home Learning Year by Year" by Rebecca Rupp. Awesome resource for building your own homeschool curriculums using grade level guidelines for each year.
We have tons more ideas than we will have time - that is our issue. I want them to be grounded in curriculum but want the real-world experience and activities as well, so we will be on the go a lot. It will be interesting to see how our first year goes. We were also going to allow them to finish out the school year but decided to take them out now - there is only about 6 weeks left of school anyways, and we can get started on some activities in the 6 weeks instead.
Good luck!
