About Alternatives to Mainstream Parenting

This group is centered to mothers who in the present times are getting lots af advice on topics like circumcision, vaccinations, getting baby to sleep and stay that way, feeding, diapering, and many other topics and don't really feel in their gut that the mainstream advice that they are getting is necessarily the good advice, but can't find anything else. This group exists to offer alternative, more loving, and child-centered parenting options, especially for new moms, in a safe environment where there will be no attacks, no negative criticisms, no "let him cry" mentalites that has brought you to this point. You need not be super passionate about a parenting style in order to join, just be genuinely interested in doing what is best for your child and being really supported in making the decisions that YOU feel are best. Not your mil, not cafemom user "xuserx". You.

You will receive nonstandard advice, with real evidence to back it up, rather than just be told "let him cry, crying never hurt anyone!" Feel free to share, ask questions, and give experiential advice.
