You know the song The Twelve Days of Christmas? You know, partridge in a pear tree, geese a-laying, all that?

I was thinking we could do our own thing here, The Twelve Days of L-AMP (or you could name it whatever you want, 12 Days of Parenting, 12 Days of (insert your name here), 12 Days of Natural Birth, whatever!)

I mean, really, who can actually remember all the words? Is it 10 ladies dancing or 11? And are French hens really that much better than American ones? LOL

So... Post here what your "true love" would give to you on the 12th day of _____ !

On the 12th day of L-AMP, my true love gave to me:

12 ladies sewing
11 children nursing
10 drummers drumming
9 voters voting
8 doulas assisting
7 gardens a-blooming
6 kids a-laying in the bed with me
5 nursing pads
4 caring words
3 breast pumps
2 deep massages
...and a safe haven on CafeMom!!!

12 babies suckling (not all mine!), 11 slings a swaying, 10 cloth booties stinking(ewww), 9 fathers swaddling, 8 mothers laughing, 7 kids playing, 6 births a happening, 5 BABIES SLEEPING, 4 carroling kids, 3 frosted faces, 2 in the tub, and a Bun in the oven.

 

Wow, that was harder than I thought, and it didn't rhyme. And I don't really want all that. lol!

7 finished loads of laundry

6 hugs from my babies

5 golden hours of silence

4 happy children

3 cooked meals

2 hours of massage

and a husband experiencing my morning sickness for me

LOL That was fun.  It's not parenting themed, but it was very nice to day dream for a minute!  Thanks for the excuse to do so. :)
