You know the song The Twelve Days of Christmas? You know, partridge in a pear tree, geese a-laying, all that?

I was thinking we could do our own thing here, The Twelve Days of L-AMP (or you could name it whatever you want, 12 Days of Parenting, 12 Days of (insert your name here), 12 Days of Natural Birth, whatever!)

I mean, really, who can actually remember all the words? Is it 10 ladies dancing or 11? And are French hens really that much better than American ones? LOL

So... Post here what your "true love" would give to you on the 12th day of _____ !

LMAO!

There's a Demotivational poster that I agree with so much. "They say that money can't buy happiness. I only ask for the chance to find out for myself." or something like that, lol. ALL of our problems come down to money. Seriously. All of our stress, our fights, our discord.. it's because of things we could buy but can't. Not because we have kids, that has zero to do with it, actually. We're fine there. But because we can't afford to fix the roof or hire someone to clean the house for us once a week and I can't afford to call a cab to drive me and the kids around or something similar and DH can't afford to take days off of work no matter how sick he gets, etc.

Money. $12,000,000 would really solve all of our problems and you know what? I don't care if it would create new ones. The fact is that in the one study anyone did on it, people who won the lottery actually WERE happier than they were before, LOL! So the old saying is BUNK! XD Let me prove it, Universe!

That would be the greatest Christmas ever ;)

Xakana, I love yours! And Candice, how awesome that you kept "golden" and "French" from the original and made them work perfectly for you!

OK my first one was just for L-AMP stuff, I'm going to try to do one that lists what *I* want now...

One the 12th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

12 months of free healthcare per year for Felipe and me
11 round-trip plane tickets to anywhere
10 L-AMP members at a holiday party at my house!
9 acres of farmland in the mountains
8 new books
7 new outfits for Felipe (he just outgrew most of his current clothing lol!)
6 inches of snow at my parents' house over Christmas with NO ICE on the roads!
5 family members living in my city
4-hour workdays for the rest of my life, at full salary
3 pieces of lime-green Swiss Army luggage
2 parents who don't smoke
and a Honda Insight!!!

WOW that was HARD. Almost everything I want got cancelled out by #4, b/c if I didn't have to work full time I would have so much of that other stuff already! (I wouldn't need a personal chef or home-cooked meals delivered to my house b/c I would have more time to cook, for example).
