My iron is low..... ****UPDATE****

I went to my 31 weeks check up everything is fine but my iron is low..now i have to get blood work to check it. anyone know what i can do to get it high again? oh ya I start going to the Drs every 2 weeks YAY!! lol

Iron is back up!! yay

Red meat, dark leafy greens (spinach and etc.) beans, liver/organ meats....Cut down on calcium rich foods (it hinders the absorption of iron).

when i was pregnant i had low iron and they made me take iron supplements.

Take an iron supplement every other day but not with your calcium because it affects the absorption of iron.  Eat more red meat and nuts.  Some veggies have protein as well.

i think alot of women have low iron when they are pregnant im on iron supplements as well, i chose the ones that are slow release so they dont hit your stomach all at once
