We all need a good laugh!

I have heard sooo many wives tales about being pregnant and I can't help but laugh at them! What's worse is how strongly some of the older women believe in them and even had their doctors tell them about them saying they were true!

So I thought it would be fun to just see what funny or off the wall ones we have heard for a good laugh. You can never laugh often enough! One I'm constantly hearing is "lifting your arms above your head will cause the umbilical cord to wrap around the baby's head."

I've been told that lifting my arms above my babies head will cause the umbilical cord to knot.  I was in the ER with my DH when I was about 3 months along and still sick. The NURSE came in and said "O wow you must be getting close to being finished, you don't usually get sick until the 2nd or 3rd trimester" I was just like ummm no... lol

That is funny about the nurse...  the one about the lifting of the arms and the cord is a bit scary for me as my sister lost a full term and the reason was the cord around the neck and her doc asked her if she had her arms above her head.... so that one... I am not so sure.....  I have read a lot about that, however, circumstance prevails for me.
