New to group, confused and frustrated...

Hi, my name is Lisa.  I'm new to the group...and Cafemom.  I'm looking for some direction, and support I guess.  I hope this is the right place.  Here is my story...

My husband I have been married for a little over 4 years, we have been together for 9 years.  I have two children that I had when I was MUCH younger.  They are now 15 and 13.  My husband has an 18 year old son from his previous marriage through IV.  My husband and his ex-wife both had issues.  My ex and I had 2 children with no effort at all.

My husband and I have been TTC naturally for a year now.  It is not happening.  And to make matters worse, my body is playing tricks on me and currently has me confused and depressed.  My period is currently 5 days late (which it NEVER is).  I took a preganancy test today and it was negative.  My husband keeps telling me that if I want it to happen then we have to go to a doctor.  I keep saying we just have to keep trying, and that it will happen.  It's not happening and I can not mentally take another negative test result.

I know absolutely nothing about fertility doctors or treatments.  I'm assuming you gals do.  Where do I start?  Are there things I need to do BEFORE going to the doctor, besides the "good old fashioned" efforts?  Needing some guidance here...

Hi I'm Roxanne. My husband and I have been TTC for our first for 26 months and have had 3 miscarriages. We recently got in to see an Infertility Specialist, well I found out I have Endometriosis in 06 and just found out I have Lupus and MTHFR disease. Well after 2 years of trying we went an saw the spec. turns out my husband has 99% Adnormal sperm, so our only chance is with IVF. But can't afford it. My periods are always late the last year and before they were normal and always on time. I always get pregnancy syntpoms but not pregnant. It's just your body playing tricks on you. If your a week late I would go in for a blood test. Because home pregnancy test don't always detect if your pregnant.
