I found a great site to check out local activities, classes, and camps in your city!
Activitytree.com is such a great site. You should check it out and create your own "myactivitytree" account.
Activitytree.com provides the nation's largest online parent resource and it's free! Sign up is highly recommended to optimize search results, but is not required.
Some of the best parts of activitytree.com are their directory and their blog. The Directory is the largest online parent resource for kid's lessons, classes, and camps. The Directory is search-able by zip code or nearly 80 activity types. Parents can register for select activities. Activity Provider features contact information, map to location, website link, a general description of offerings, and photos.
Their blog has activity and mommy experts to help answer the questions on a parent's mind. It shows how activities are beneficial for kids, what types of children are better suited to specific activities, and how to choose appropriate classes or instructors. Parents can even watch videos of actual classes!
