My sons have already started to have camps and practice. I am excited for football, but also a little sad. My oldest son will graduate this year. I will miss watching him play football and basketball and soccer. They all have been in the weight room, the girls will start v-ball soon. I thought summer just started? Anyway, here we go!

Oh Yeah! We had orientation last night for my youngest son and my oldest has been weight training for high school since June.
I'm so glad baseball is over- I'm in football mode now!
But your right, where did the summer go???

My son wants to play flag football again, we tried to get him to sign up for reg football but he didnt want to do it yet. He doesnt want to get hurt , but when he played this past spring ( flag football) he was hurt every game. seems that it is not much different in the two games. He was the teams best runner and the kids never seem to understand to pull the flags...lol It will be fun to see what happens this time.

Oh yeah, My boys 6 and 9 have been practicing for two weeks already. I love it, so fun. But we are still in baseball mode too. My 9 year old is playing Fall baseball and football too! Good thing I love sports!!
I just feel bad for our Jenna, she just tends to dragged around. We try to take turns so she can stay at home.
The practice field is full of geese poo YUK! Don't want her running around in that

My step son is only 10, so I can't relate to the college thing yet. Friends of mine just started a Fantasy Football Website for families, www.familyfantasysports.com. I don't know much about football, but I played last year and it was fun. Austin love's football so this was a way for us to watch it together and compete against one another.
The guys that started the site are good guys and they have a great concept. It's FREE and promotes family-together time. They have set it up so that families can create their own message boards with out of state relatives to compete against each other. Last year they gave away $40k in college savings prizes.
At this point, you have probably answered the "how do I pay for college" question, but thought this might be a good way to stay connected with your son when he goes away to college.
Yep, my two boys are in football. Practice every night. And Brenden is doing both football and fall baseball at the same time. Luckily this is the last week for everynight practice.
And ofcourse they wait 4 weeks from the time baseball ends to hold tryouts for the travel team for next year. So today we are very anxiously waiting for a phone call to find out if he made it. SO stressfull!!!!

Yes, my little guy turned 9 this summer and this is his 3rd year in full contact football! He is a rip roarin' defensive end and he means business! His nickname since he's started football is "The Beast" because when he's on can't no one hold him back. He loves to watch Demarcus WAre and we call my son T-WAre like D-WAre ya know? So Yeah, they won both of their scrimage games so far and we are looking forward to a promising season this year! Go Vaqueros big Orange and Black!
