I want to know what your kids like to play. My 18 year old daughter loves basketball, softball, swimming, and gymnastics. My 17 year old son, plays cricket, lacrosse, soccer, baseball, and ice hockey. My 15 year old son plays cricket, basketball, football, volleyball, and gymnastics. My 14 year old daughter loves to play soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball, and swimming. My 11 year old daughter loves ballet, softball, tennis, and swimming. My 9 year old twin boys both love lacrosse, baseball, basketball, swimming, kickball, and soccer. My 8 year old son loves soccer, gymnastics, swimming, tennis, and baseball. My 6 year old son, loves soccer, swimming, basketball, and baseball. My 4 year old son, plays soccer, swimming, baseball, basketball, hockey, and football.
I want to know what your kids play and if you take any reaction on to the sports they play. I don't take any reaction to it, because I grow up playing a ton of sports and I love sports.
My 14 year old daughter plays select soccer and volleyball. She also plays volleyball and basketball for her school. She plays tennis in the summer when she is not at one of many soccer or volleyball camps.
I love to watch her plays her sports. I think soccer is the most dangerous at least the way she and the other girls play it. They are very physical and she also plays up. She is in 8th grade, but plays with 9th and 10th graders.
Sports are good for my daughter because her other talents do not require so much activity. She is a talented artist and a very accomplished vocalist.

Ok, first of all....You have that many kids in all those different sports..How in the heck do you do that? lol I suppose that having one drive helps. I have 4 but they are younger.
My 9, soon to be ten plays Baseball, football (in Ohio it's full on tackle and progear..amazing me) & now he wants to play basketball. I don't know. Baseball is "his" sport. We've done some training with him & he will be playing on the travel A team this coming summer. Very excited for him.
My 7 year old plays baseball and football too. He doesn't really know what he likes best yet. He wants to play hockey ( so expensive ) hope he changes his mind hehe
5 and 2 don't really play sports yet...5 year old played tball but I don't think sports will be his thing. :)
Our 2 year old will be doing something...she is a crazy daredevil.
It's such a fine line, because of their homework, etc. I don't want them to fall behind. So, I'm seriously considering no winter sports...what's your opinion on that?

My daughter is almost 7. She has been doing gymnastics since the day she turned 3. She loves it she goes 3 days a week for 2 hrs at a time. She goes Monday Wed and Fridays she was on a team but now decided to just do rec. She is also on a all star cheer team ( which she loves and it has given her so much confidence) She practices for it on Sunday and Thursday each for 2 hrs.. She has girl scouts on Tuesdays. She is a very busy little girl but she loves it and is so excited about her cheer competition a few months

My Kids are only 3 & 5, but my daughter will be starting Soccer this year. I play soccer & softball still, and the Hubs still plays Hockey. We are hoping my son will want to play Football and Hockey, so he starts learn to skate this year. My Daughter tried the learn to skate program but didn't really like it. I think she will be more of a hockey fan then a player! LOL! I am hoping to get them both into Lacrosse too!
As an Athletic Trainer I know how to treat all their injuries and how to prevent many of them, so I will let them try almost any sport (with the exception of Cheerleading [which is classified as an activity here vs. a sport] and figure skating). ;o)

That is why I am hoping my kids won't get to into basketball... this and I just don't like watching it!! LOL
my son is football and baseball only now, and my middle daughter is only gymnastics now. we had done almost everything, but as they got older they have become more selective with their time, and i am so glad. my youngest wants to start dressage, but it is really dangerous and i'm trying to talk her out of it. ugh.
