My son will be going into Kindergarten this fall and since he has never been to preschool or day care the school has offered him a spot in the Jump Start summer school program.  He'll start at the end of the month, goes 4 days a week from 8am-12pm.  We're both really excited.  He'll get to ride the bus and have breakfast and lunch with about 12 other kids.  Has anyone else kids been in this program?  Did it help with starting school in the fall?

Also his school is starting a Spanish Immersion Program this year.  Half the day is taught in English and the other half is taught in Spanish.  I think I heard Selbyville schools had done this.  Anyone tried this?  How did it work?  The vice principle told me the part that's taught in Spanish is the math part.  How does that translate to working at home on homework?
