I have recently come across some blogs which are a must-read if you want to learn more about Writing for Kids, although the last one is about publishing in general:

Editorial Anonymous: (blog of a chidlren's book editor): this is very informative and funny

The Rejecter: (blog of a literary agent):

Enjoy!

I just discovered this site, a "social networking community" for children's book authors and illustrators.

http://www.jacketflap.com/

Includes blogs, among other things. Looks like it has a lot of information. Anybody from this group have any experience with this site? Looks promising.

I signed up with jacketflap as well.  I like that it has information on publishers.  As long as we do our homework on the contacts posted and make sure it is current, it could be a great resource.  I clicked over to the sight when I was on the writer's digest site, which was recommended by a cafemom.  It is free to register, so why not!

If you write or illustrate for kids and want to really connect with others, go to www.verlakay.com and check out the message boards. It's free and is truly the best website to visit.

I second that. Verlakay blue boards are awesome! Interact with writers, published and non, and agents and editors pop in on ocassion.

Also, my crit partners and I have a fairly decent blog for writing tips, advice, and inspiration: http://www.sistersinscribe.blogspot.com/

The query shark is great: http://queryshark.blogspot.com/

There are so many agents that are blogging now a days. Mary Kole is one of my favorites: http://www.kidlit.com/

And Adventures in Children's Publishing is an awesome blog. I did a guest post there recently:
