My first rejection

Hello, Ladies!

Well, after weeks of checking the mail everyday, I finally received my first rejection letter (Highlights for Children).  The letter said that my story didn't fit their current needs.  I had already expected that my story would be rejected and had prepared myself for that.  It was, after all, my first try.  :0)   I have more stories and plan to submit them, but since getting the letter, it seems that my motivation is lacking....gotta get it back somehow!!

You can do it!! Send that baby off to another magazine pronto! A rejection letter is a badge of honor, every writer and artist has them but to get that acceptance letter you've got to forge on!

"If you're not being rejected, you're not reaching far enough!"

Keep up the hard work and it'll eventually pay off. And with each struggle comes more appreciation for your accomplishments!
