Welcome to the Widowed Moms group. I am truly sorry for your loss. It is my hope this group will offer you some small solace and healing - a place you will feel free to visit often.
I'm Kate and this is my story:
Eight years ago I lost the love of my life. We had been married for 10 years. He was my husband, lover, friend, confidante, running partner, and so much more. He was 42 years old, he was healthy, and in an instant he was gone.
Twelve years ago I gave birth to a baby girl. Chloe was prematurely jolted into this world at 25 weeks and only 16 ounces. Eighteen minutes later she died; her lungs were too underdeveloped for her to survive. Chloe was born and died in the same hospital emergency room that my husband had died in 4 days earlier. I had no hospital stay - I left the hospital and immediately attended my husband's funeral with my 5-year-old son Jonathon.
When I was widowed at the age of 32, my entire world was shattered. I was overwhelmed by a heart-crushing breathtaking grief. But I made it thru the struggle of coming to terms with life without him and so can you.
Visit and share often! You will find a caring community here to help comfort you in your time of loss and sorrow, and to share with as you go forward in parenting alone.
You are welcome here!
