I don't think that women realize just how difficult parenting someone else's child will be. This is a group for support, and encouragement for stepmoms, birth moms, aunts, grandparents, or friends! I think that everyone can offer different viewpoints and opinions for all of us. For me, there have been great times and very hard times, but I speak from experience when I say it usually gets easier! Come join us to give your opinions and advice.
Once you are accepted into the group, you agree to and will abide by the following rules:
We are adults, ladies, and apparently there is one bad apple wanting to ruin the whole bunch.
ABSOLUTELY NO VERBAL ATTACKS AGAINST ANOTHER MEMBER OR THEIR CHILD(REN). Remember, everybody is entitled to their opinion. If you don't agree, either move on or state your opinion respectfully. FAILURE TO COMPLY IS AN AUTOMATIC REMOVAL FROM THE GROUP.
NO NAME CALLING. This goes for members and/or their children. You are not in elementary school anymore. FAILURE TO COMPLY IS AN AUTOMATIC REMOVAL FROM THE GROUP.
NO INAPPROPRIATE PHOTOGRAPHS- NO NUDITY. Self explanitory. FAILURE TO COMPLY IS AUTOMATIC REMOVAL FROM THE GROUP.
NO BASHING. Report any suspected "bully" to the Group Owner.
ABIDE BY ALL CAFEMOM TERMS OF SERVICE AND GUIDELINES.
MEMBERS WHO HAVE NOT LOGGED IN WITHIN 30 DAYS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REMOVED FROM THE GROUP.
IF YOU SUSPECT SOMEONE IS MAKING POSTS JUST TO START TROUBLE, PLEASE REPORT IT TO THE GROUP OWNER.
If anyone knows of a rule I might have missed, please let me know.
Remember, EVERYBODY'S SITUATION IS DIFFERENT. We are here to encourage each other , share tips and get advice. If you disagree with someone's opinion, please do so respectfully and don't resort to name calling.

Welcome to Cafemom's largest and busiest Step-parent group! This group was created in hopes that it could support and provide encouragement for those of us dealing with a stepparenting situation. This group is for Stepmoms, Birth moms, Grandmothers, Aunts, Friends, or whoever else is dealing with this type of situation.
Some groups here on Cafemom are just for certain groups of women, but this Stepparenting group is for everyone dealing with this issue, and along with that brings much diversity. Things get heated very quickly, but please adhere to the following main rules so that we can avoid problems. And also read the group rules once your application has been accepted.
