What a combination!!!
Ok I'm 6 weeks along...only in my first trimester. This past friday I was in a car accident. The idiot came into my lane and bashed into the right side of my car, he then veers into the far right lane, hits a car and veers back over right in front of me. At that point I knew he was going to take off so I caught his plate # and I had a witness. ANY WHO
I didn't sustain any serious injuries besides being a little shaken up and sore the next morning. I did go to the hospital they pretty much just said....are you in pain, ok your fine.
I filed a claim, have an attorney and I'm seeing a chiropractor...my biology teacher :) I'm kinda familiar with the routine, I used to work front desk at a chiropractors office.
Well I went to my first appointment today and she was kind of at a loss as far as what to do with me. She didn't really want to adjust me because I can't have any x-rays. I told her I saw a chiropractor w/ my first pregnancy without any x-rays (i understand its different with a car accident). I've also seen pregnant ladies being treated for a car accident at the other place I worked at. So I'm just really confused. Also can you get an MRI????
So today I got cold packs w/ EMS and the rolling traction bed just on my upper back. I don't feel like those therapies really help me. I would prefer an adjustment and a massage! I can understand shes afraid to adjust me because w/out knowing she could just be doing more damage.....but how do pregnant women get treated for a car accident?!?! It almost seems pointless if I can have an adjustment.
After my first trimester I plan on asking her if she'll give me a prescription to get a massage by my former co-worker who is a LMT. (because I don't think my doctor has a LMT working for her)
sorry so long...any advice is greatly appreciated.
