CD= "Cycle Day" This is the day from the first day of your last menstrual period. ( If you started your period on February 3rd, and it is February 20th you are on CD 17) LMP = First day of your Last Menstrual Period (your last period)

hCG = Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (the hormone that is released in pregnancy) This is what pregnancy tests detect. There is a "blood pregnancy test" called a Beta hCG. This can be a quantitative hCG or a qualitative hCG. A quantitative hCG gives you a number value, greater than 5 is considered positive for pregnancy. A qualitative hCG gives you a "negative or positive" result, and is not ordered very often. Home pregnancy tests can detect hCG levels at about 25-50 (depending on the brand). This is why "blood pregnancy tests" can detect a pregnancy earlier than a home pregnancy test.
