I am seven weeks pregnant and my daughter will be two next month. She has been kicking me and hitting me in the belly but not to the point where it will take my breath away. She really doesn't understand that concept. I was wondering if that will hurt my unborn child?

The baby is very protected inside of you. While you should try to prevent your dd from hitting your stomache, a hit here or there won't hurt the baby. When I was pregnant with my dd my son had a bad habit of waking me up by jumping his whole weight on my 7 month pregnant belly. It hurt really bad, but my dd was perfectly fine. So try to discourage the behavior but don't stress too much and just let your doc know what is going on.

I JUST TOLD MY DOC WHAT MY DD OF 3 YRS WAS HITTING MY BELLY AND RUNNING HER HEAD INTO MY BELLY.. WE HAVE GOTTEN TO THE POINT THAT SHE GOES IN TIME OUT AND WE LET HER KNOW THAT THERE IS A BABY GROWING IN THERE AND WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF HIM... SHE HAS STOP HITTING ME AND NOW PETS MY BELLY... THE DOC TOLD ME THAT THERE IS ALOT OF LAYERS OF STUFF TO PROTECT THE BABY BUT A GROWN PERSON HIT ME IN THE BELLY I WOULD HAVE TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL... GOOD LUCK!
