I had 2csections and will have my 3rd April1st!  I wonder why do they tie your hands down during the csection?  I wanted to touch my baby afterwards and they was like oh no i had to keep my hands down.  I heard some women don't get their hands tied down and alot do anyone know the reason why behind it?

I've have two c-sections at two different hospitals in two different states and I didn't have my hands tied down for either, in fact I was holding my baby as they wheeled me to recovery!

In case you have a seizure (I asked the last time). after he is out if you are reacting well to the meds you can ask them to untie them, I always do.

I was tied down for mine and I ask the docs after and they said it was cause your natural reaction is to help/touch/etc.  They dont want you invading the sterile area or trying to do something when they are operating on you.
