Does having a c section doom you to an ugly belly?

I have to have a c section cause of major back problems.   I hear so many bad stories about people never having a flat tummy again due to c sections.  i've only gained 22 pounds my pregnancy and im 33 weeks.  my bellies not that big at all.    Will exercise when ive recovered help me get back to my normal belly or will it always look bad?

I believe if I try hard enough to get my body back I will, but others say theres no way.

whats your story?

It depends on how being pregnant effects your body, but you will always have a scar and possibly a little flap of overhanging skin. Don't know what kind of back issues you are having but what do they plan to use for pain for you? Epidurals and spinals would likely be a bad idea if you have problems already.

Well, Every single women I know that has had a c-section has an ugly (For lack of a better term) belly and most of us have this really annoying "flap".

Super stars like to show off their skinny post c-section bellies but they also have top nitch plastic surgeons, personal trainers and diet coaches.

I have had two csections.  My belly only has the over hang when I am sitting.  When I am standing, my belly is pretty tight.  But I started out at 89 pounds and I am now 100 and am 5'4.  So I don't believe everyone with a csection is doomed to have an ugly belly.  Just depends how much work you put into it.

I think it really depends on the person and if you work out and eat right. I waited too long after my first but this time im going to a class with a trainer as soon as im okayed by the dr

I cannot for the life of me get my belly flat.  I have had 3 c-sections and not even working with a professional trainer has helped with my belly pooch.

im 9 weeks postpartum and am finally cleared to start exercising. I wasnt eating all that great so im sure thats not going to help. but i believe everyone is different. it all depends on how much work you are willing to put into it. but also, first step is accepting the fact that theres a possibility it wont go away. im personally struggling with this. but i think once you have your baby, if you arent going to Breastfeed, you should adjust your diet if needed. obviously if you are already a health nut, you wont need to adjust much. post csection the best thing you can do is at least find exercises that will help build your core muscles.

I went back to a flat tummy after my c-section because of losing the weight and going lower than my pre preggo weight. But when i gained some of the weight back and go to pre preggo weight it was kinda flabby, but i also didnt exercise or try to rehab all the muscles in my abdomen,.
