I was talking to my brother's girlfriend the other day and we were taking about surgery(I have no idea why it just kind of came up) and it came up that I thought of all my surgeries my c-section was the easiest. Honest my list of my worst surgeries goes wisdom teeth(mostly because they were horrifically impacted and invovled taking out a chunk of my jawbone that and medicaid doesn't cover for you to be knocked out),Tonsilectomy,C-section. Both she and everybody else I've ever told don't believe me that as far as my surgeries go absolute easiest. Was I dancing down the halls of the hospital? No but I was only still on the Percocet when I came home because breastfeeding was hell on earth for me. No one believes me about that either but that's a whole different story.
Am I really that strange? Does anybody else's family and friends not believe them and still believe that it's the most horrible thing in the world?
With my first son, the C-section was horrible. Recovery took a while and was really painful. With my second son, I was walking around that night. I really just wanted out of the hospital LOL I was working (from home) 3 days after having him. It did hurt but was really tolerable with just mostly ibuprofen. The worse part was getting in and out of bed. The doctor actually told me the C-section is usually easier than the first.
Quoting mom2twingirl797:My c-section was a piece of cake honestly! I didn't have much pain and I healed so quick! So, I totally agree!
My csection recovery was pretty painful the first time, but I also labored for 12 hours and pushed for 3 before my csection. My wisdom teeth recovery was AWFUL too! I'm hoping this recovery coming up is easier!
I would say my worst was my nasal surgery, then back, then my c section. I too bounced back fairly quickly from my c section and it actually took me longer to recover from my natural birth ( I got infection, hemoraged and had to have a blood transfusion). I am hoping this second c section goes as smoothly. Another plus to the c section over the other surgeries, you get a beautiful baby out of it much better then just the pain.
I've only had c-section for surgery. It was HELL. But I also have nothing to compare it too.
