Hello everyone,  my son who will be turning 8 this month (Dec.16th) would like to make a request for people to send him birthday cards. He is trying to see how many he can get. So we will be counting them together, then putting them into a photo album for him to keep. (They can arrive later then his actual birthday)

Devin has a Astrocytoma Brain tumor and has not been feeling to good lately, so he asked if I would do this for him and of course I said yes. So we have had to slow down a little on our home schooling and work around how he is feeling and do more on his good days.  So the cards would really cheer him up as well. Devin's considered Terminal as his tumor can't be removed its in the brain stem. We are right now looking for a wheelchair for him and the Dr's have said that after he was placed in the wheelchair it would more then likely be a year after that we will lose him to his battle. However, we take that with a grain of salt as we have heard it before and he fights hard to stay here with us, he is just an amazing little boy.  So if you would like to send him a card you can mail it to:

Hi there,  I just joined recently and have a son with ADD/HD and know the challenges of raising a child with special needs. Sometimes, i feel like I am going to lose it.  I feel like moms with kids with more severe physical conditions are saints and I know that can't be the truth. If you ever need to share, feel free to email...cfa@tds.net. Be well, MIla

This post was made in 2009. I can't believe someone found it and brought it up.  The funny part is that someone else had just mentioned this letter to me last week and I didn't know where to find it.  My guess is that if the boy was terminal, that he has probably passed, but miracles do happen.
