He asked.. I said YES and while it took a bit for me to digest.. it has finally sunk in.. I am getting married again, something I thought I would never do again.
I am super excited and very nervous all at the same time. We are barely getting by so we haven't set a date or made any plans yet. I would love to hear any ideas you ladies might have about a low cost wedding and especially about how to do things different for a second marriage. I had the big white wedding the first time around.. this time I want it to be sentimental but not too fancy. ![]()

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! The Dating Experiment worked for you. If only we could be that fortunate. So happy for you..........![]()
Part of what I did for my second wedding was instead of the big formal reception and the expense, we had a barbecue in the back yard, had people come in shorts etc, kids welcome, bought tubs of ice cream and toppings and had make your own sundaes etc. I cannot tell you how many compliments we got on that aspect of our wedding.
I went to a wedding a couple years ago where the bride and groom were on their Harley together in a wedding caravan procession.............to a small chapel-after the service, they all rode to a grove called "the grange" near here-it has a pavillion with tables like picnic style-she rented a tent in case of rain.............they had it catered by very inexpensive folks-a huge keg of hot chowder, sterno trays with meatballs and salads,etc.-it was decorated with the bells,etc................I am so happy for ya!!! ![]()
Really.......what all do you need? A pretty dress, flowers, lots of candles, a cake and champagne???? That doesn't cost a lot.........does it???
CONGRATULATIONS! I did my 2nd wedding at the church and had a breakfast type reception in the church afterwards. We had cake, sweet rolls (homemade) egg casserole and fruit. I knew someone who played guitar and sang who did that during the wedding. It turned out great and not too long.
You apparently have dicarded all of my ideas. Rainbow, southern wedding with Hoop skirts. Oriental Kimino wedding, Cowboy theme wedding, Beach bikini wedding. Do I need to continue?

A priest, minister, or justice of the peace might come in handy.
