The title says it all.  I had a lumpectomy the week before Thanksgiving.  With the help of Suzy, yes our Suzy.  I am dealing with it all.  The removed my left nipple, which I am pleased to say they are replacing this Friday.  I want one that shoots lazer beams, so I can shoot the donkey in the head (pick one).  Tamixifen my new drug sucks.  Nausea is overwhelming.  Hot Flashes we won't go there.  Part of the perk package of boob cancer is I have lost 14 lbs from puking.    I will keep you all posted.  I promise to be a better leader.  My friends here have always been a source of power for me.

You and Suzy are striking a 100.

You say you "have" the cancer.  Does that mean the lumpectomy didn't get everything?

I just had my annual checkup... still have to go for my mammogram.

Prayers for you and Suzy.  Hugs too.

Got it all.  We are now fighting the cells that are morphing into more.  Trying to sandbag the dam, before she floods the city.  Medicine sucks.  Go for your mammo, now!

Good point.  I went to a new doctor last week and they gave me my prescription for the mammo but still need to set up the appointment and go.  Thanks for the reminder and the boost.  You are both in my continued prayers.  Hugs.

It seems our worlds can be so self absorbed....except at times like this.  Know that you have a world of support.  Literally all over the nation because of Cafe Mom.  I so wish we could all meet.  Share, laugh, cry, absorb each others happiness and woes.  And I too agree with lazers, but Robin Williams once suggested squeakers.  I always thought that would be fun.  And I have no boobs.  My last mamm was with an ultra sound...lol. How funny and embarrassing was that.  Not big enough to squish in the machine.  Ugh!  But all was ok thank goodness. Being a single mom I can't imagine leaving my children to an "x".  Do all you have to do.  You are in my prayers.....huuuggggssss!!!!!
