The last time we were in Disney they had MGM Studios which was one of my kids favorite places. We are going in May and I see now they have Hollywood Studios. Who has been there? What is it like? Did your kids enjoy it?
Also what is the best way for me to get the most discount I can on tickets?

Hi Carly, If MGM Studios was one of your kids favorites, it still will be. There have been a few additions and updates, but MGM Studios was just renamed to Hollywood Studios.
As far as discounted tickets, it depends on several things like: how many days you want tickets for, will you be staying on-property and buying a Disney vacation package? You can purchase tickets from online vendors and save a few dollars, but you need to take into consideration what you might pay more for elsewhere by doing that. Here's some help with figuring those questions out: http://www.momswdw.com/discount-disney-tickets/
Hope you have a Magical trip!
Hollywood studios is MGM! Have fun!!
MGM studios is Hollywood Studios, they just changed the name. Nothing has really changed other then the name.
As for discounted tickets I would check out http://www.undercovertourist.com/. They arean authorized disney discount tickets reseller. Disney approved them to sell their tickets at discounted prices. If you sign up for http://www.mousesavers.com/ montly newsletter they will send you an email on the 15th of the month and there is always a link to Undercover Tourist that gives you even more of a discount off Disney tickets through them.
With that being said depending on your situation if you are going to purchase a full stay package due to the discounts (like free dining, or kids play and stay free), then you will have to purchase tickets directly through Disney as these types of offers require you to purchase a room and tickets at full price. If you are only purchasing a room through Disney or staying off property you would be able to use the links I gave you since you wouldn't be purchasing a package.
My family went to Disney in September and it was the first time we didn't purchase a whole package deal through Disney. We only had the room booked since we became DVC members the year before. We had decided we wanted to buy annual passes because we knew we'd be back within the year. So what I did was purchase 6 day park hoppers through Undercover Tourist using the Mousesavers newsletter link. I saved about $30 per ticket. When we got to the parks we entered as normal and went to the customer service and upgraded out tickets to annual passes. By doing this we saved Since we are DVC members we get a $100 discount automatic on annual passes so for us it was a no brainer since our saving was a lot!
Definitely think about how many days you want to purchase, whether or not you will park hop, and check out the prices purchasing directly through Disney and then the same tickets through Undercover Tourist. Make sure through Disney you put the items in the cart and look at them as that is what you'll find how much you're paying for with taxes. Undercover Tourist does not charge tax or shipping. The tickets from Undercover are official Disney tickets they are not duplicates or paper tickets that need to be redeemed. You can walk right up to the gate to get in and have no problem. I hope this helps. :o)
