I am new to this group, but have a great site to share with all mom's in the area called The Eastside Macaroni Kid.  If you are ever looking for an activity or an event to go to with your kids, this is the place to find it.  It is a free weekly e-newsletter and website that has tons of things to do with your kids and is updated weekly on Thursdays!  Subscribing is free!
