Cheap Wedding Ideas

I am looking for some ways to keep the cost of our wedding down so any advice, tips, or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Some info about our wedding:

We are getting married Jan. 23, 2012. 
The ceremony is going to be on the beach, and the reception is going to be at DF's grandma's house. 
There will be an estimated 50 people there. 
I dont want anything to out there I want a simple wedding (if it was up to me, we would just go to the court house, but he doesnt want that he wants the whole wedding thing).
We will have 3 people on each side of us, so a total of 6.
