Do it in the summer and have an outdoor wedding? Rent out a park for the day (mine costs $50 with use of a kitchen there). Do you plan to marry in a church? They usually only ask for a donation, no large set price. Fake flowers save a lot of money and hassle.

yeah im thinking about having it in my grandmas backyard. the date is june 2 so that will give us time to plant flowers too which will help with some cost.

instead of catering, have a coctail hour with wine and hours de vours. but dont schedule it for three or four and wonder why everyone was starving!  make your cake yourself, or have a friend or relative do it as a wedding gift, preferably one that is a good baker.

Do you have any good cooks in your family? Casseroles, side dishes and desserts can be easy to make for a lot of people and still taste good. Catering is one of the most expensive parts of a wedding.

For a wedding cake, go to a grocery store. They make surprisingly pretty ones for cheap. Walmart does too.

A great way to save money is book on off peak days. Like Thursday and Sunday instead of Friday and Saturday. Also, do a small decorative cake and have a plain sheet cake that you cut and serve.

great way to save money is to not serve alcohol, and if you are willing to take the gamble you can find photographers who are just starting out to do the pictures for little to no money. Check out some all-inclusive chapels in your area. I knew a couple who had a small wedding for less than $1,000. That included a decorated chapel, cake, champagne toast, and a weekend honeymoon suite for the couple. Good luck and congratulations!

My husband built me a small gazebo, not round but kind of, just split in half, for us and the pastor, and we set it up on beautiful property but I wish we had it at the park, which was also beautiful. And we had white chairs, the only cost were the materials and chairs, for that part of course. But for a simple wedding I got to keep the gazebo. Oh and check out ebay for dresses. over sea companies sell on there. So you get a gorgeous dress for $100 and all you need is to find someone to fit your dress.
