Thank you for visiting. In today's mass produced world it's nice to get a little slice of the carefully prepared and home made. Farmer's markets are the ultimate source for first quality produce, crafts and food - but they are also a great community of people as diverse as the products sold.
I have been a farmer's market vendor for many years and more recently I have managed the Stony Plain Country Market for two years. The first year we ran weekly from May to Oct. This year we ran weekly May to Oct and then monthly Nov-April. It's our first winter season and it's almost like starting all over again. I'm hopeing some of you have ideas for:
1) Makeing the most of limited space / Displays
2) Attracting Customers
3) Keeping vendors happy
4) Planning for the future
Join me in discussing the unique activity/job/hobby/career that can be found in the local farmer's market.
