I normally buy Veggies and Fruit, our market is very small only a few years old and so we dont have alot of the items that the larger markets have. I also pick up herb plants when I can find something I know ill use.

Mostly produce.  Since I am not able to do my own gardening right now, I did not buy garden plants this year. However, I did buy a few plants last year to place in the garden.  I wonder?  Can a vendor sell garden seed at a Farmer's Market or does the market start too late in the year for that?  I love to be able to find homemade tamales.  Last Saturday, one of the vendors had a book I had never seen, I believe it was called The Encyclopaedia of Old-Fashioned Living or Gardening.  It is by Carla Emery.  Great book!! I'm going to get a copy through abebooks.com.

I buy berries of all sorts- strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries.

Fruits- Rainier cherries, peaches.

Veggies such as tomatoes, lettuce, garlic, squash, zucchini.

Homemade pastries from the Farmers Tea Ladies-cookies, tarts, scones.

Jams and jellies.

Goat milk soap.

No crafted goods, though. My local farmers market is only in it's 3rd year and hasn't attracted those kind of vendors yet. Although, I could drive up to Portland (OR) a few minutes north and they've got a HUGE twice weekly market with everything you could want. But I'd rather just stay closer to home and attend my local Oregon City market every Saturday.
