I always grow our families own veges during the spring/summer, and every year i have too much even though i do deliver an asst. of veges to the elderly around our neighborhood. i had started thinking that maybe i could load some up in the back of my truck and sit on the side of the road (texas) to sell. but now i am wondering if we even have a market around us (Waco, Tx)anyway, with the prices in the stores, i thought that i could use the opportunity to 1, earn a little money 2 give people a chance to eat fresh and Affordable veges. I am down to one salad a week because of high prices in the stores. we just can't afford it and i know that i can't be the only one who can't afford store prices

Good places to find out about a market:
1) Call your local Chamber of Commerece - they may know
2) Call the local Town Office - they will probably know who the contact is
3) Check the local papers for ads
4) Google Farmer's market + "Your town" and see is you come up with a list.
Here in Alberta we have a web site that lists all the approved markets on it - it is done by the provincial government.
What town are you specifically looking for, perhaps I could help you research it.
