Question on items I plan to sell

At my farmers market its not uncommon to see tye-dyed clothing for sale or other sewn items. I am planning on making girls dress and bloomer sets to sell and wondered if anyone has seen this do well or do badly at other markets, im wanting to price them under $20 ( it will all depend on how much detail i use) also I wanted to do items like tooth fairy pillows. the dresses are a huge hit with my 3 y/o daughter and her friends.

The items I have that i know will sell are painted clay pots, herbal crafts such as sachets and trivets, scented wax ornaments, and rice packs. I have tried to really reasearch the surrounding markets (since i will be going to 3 or 4 different ones monthly). I would just like some input. I'll try and get pictures if that would help.

Too bad you're not local for me - I'd love to add your products to my market! And a $20 price point - WOW! I'd say you will do well!

As a side note - just be sure not to underprice your products for your actual cost and time. If you do this you will lose too much money and going to the market won't be worthwhile! Price for what it's worth - people don't mind paying for quality - it's not a flea market or garage sale where people expect cheap stuff it's a Farmer's market where people go for quality!

I'd love to see pictures - but from what I can imagine I think you have a great niche product that not everyone is doing! When I did aprons i got one of those life sized dolls to dress up and add to my table - it generated interest. You may want to try it.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

I sell baby stuff, and girl skirts, as well as purses.  The idea is that there is something for everyone.  I just did a craft show this past weekend.  I noticed that everyone wants cheap things.  I didn't sell anything over $20.  I'm not making any new products that would cost more than $20.  I'm saving those for etsy, or my website.  Even though you would think they would want quality things, and spend more money, they don't.  They want to spend as least amount of money as possible.  Maybe you could also try selling some of the dresses to a boutique or something.  I don't know what your stuff looks like.
