Have you ever been invited to a market or fair?

I am in the process of compiling my annual mail out to my vendors - an invitation to come to the market, reg form and brochure.

My hubby says I shouldn't have to do all this work - BUT I think it says a lot to a vendor when they get invited to participate.

Have you ever had a formal invitation to a market or craft fair?
What did it say / consist of?

What did you think when you got it - were you impressed or was it just
'junk mail"?

I'd really like opinions on if these personal invitations are worth the effort and expense. ( I send out about 100)

Okay - my mail out goes out tomorrow - we spent all weekend foling brochures and stuffing envelopes LOL The count is more like 200.

What are your thoughts on this?

I recently participated in a city sponsored craft show and afterwards, I received a very nice thank you that included an invitation to their next event -- it was "mass produced" but I still thought it was nice.  It was flattering to be invited (even though I imagine everyone got the same thing).  The invite included a web link to get more information and a phone number for the event contact person.  They made it easy to sign up for the next show.... which I've done.

Personally I think its a great idea, it shows how much you care about your vendors and im one of those people that loves information the more you give me the happier i am lol. its not a waste of time if it brings back the vendors you like to see and that keep the customers happy.
