We are in the process of applying for "approved status" one of our barriers is there is already a market near us. Both markets have survided well in 7 years and I can't see how they can deny us b/c we might damage the other market ... Do you know of any markets close together that are surviving?

Yes, we have 2 Farmer's Markets, about 15 miles from each other, although 1 is small and only going on its 3rd year, the other is well established and going strong. They are on different days...not sure if that makes much difference?
We are in Southeastern Ohio in Morgan County. I sure hope it works out for you...can you ever have enough Farmers Markets? :)
