Hello Ladies,
I wanted to start a topic to find out what each of you do to get inspired! I think that if we all post some things that we have done to get ourselves inspired and motivated that it could help many others out.
The reason being that when I first started working on Personal Development I had no clue of where to start. So, if we have women in here that are new to this it could really help them to get started on the right path! :)
For me...
I love to read a great book!
Some to start off with could be:
Little Book of BIG Motivational Quotes by Sid Savara
Getting Things Done by David Allen
How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
The Good Life Rules by Bryan Dodge
The point is that we need to feed our minds constantly and we must do this without TV! I know that its hard to get away from those shows but once you do you'll find that you are able to better control your thought process towards the optomistic side of things. They don't call it the "Income Reducer" for nothing! Invest in DVR and record your favorite shows if you must. That is what I do. My TV is off during the day and I refuse to watch the News. The news brings nothing but negative actions. We need to surround ourselves with positive thoughts and in doing so we'll begin to see the positive changes in our life with love, business you name it!
I'm looking forward to seeing what the others do to get inspired and work on personal development!
I was the same way when I started working on personal growth. I had no idea or where to start. But now I definitely cannot live without it! A few things I do to Inspire myself and learn how to help Inspire Others is...
~ Read a Great Inspirng Book (usually at least 10 pages a day)
~ Watch the Secret and read the Book... this always gets me back to the basics on why I started personal growth in the first place!
~ Listen to Audios... these are so great to keep on while you are working, driving, going to sleep, cleaning, etc. I just put them in place of music!
~ Love to read other's stories who are where I want to be or doing what I want to acheive! Learning from someone who is in that place will definitely be a big part of getting there successfully!
Many Blessings ~ Jennifer May

I have to agree with you. I also enjoy spending at least 1/2 hour daily reading something inspiring or uplifting - something hopeful.
I have also read the books behind some of the rags to riches movies, the first one that comes to mind is Pursuit of Happyness. There are many different paths, but good ideas come from everywhere.
I do use music to improve my mood. Mainly instrumental but any genre. Find something that works for you and use it to get your mind into "working" or "creating" mode. Make it part of a routine.
Many writers will tell you to write at least 10 minutes first thing every morning, even if all you write is your name over and over, or "this is stupid, I do not want to be doing this." It helps to be doing it by hand rather than typing. And if writing is your main duty - set a number of pages and do not give up until it is finished. It does get easier. (Those first few weeks can be torture.)
And I like working on a personal vision board, a visual reminder of why I do the things I do and what I am working towards.
First I look to nature to anchor myself and find a starting point for meditation.
Music helps me get where I need to be.
I am particular about what I read and watch (tv, movies), negativity and violence do not take me anywhere I want to be.
These are daily focal points for me.
These are all great suggestions!
I created a mind movie for myself and one for other moms to watch as well. I'm a visual person so seeing what I want in front of me paired with an inspiring song really moves me. Here's the link if you want to check it out.

I also love to read books on self care, law of attraction and anything else that can shape my mind to think and focus more on what I want.
Whenever I need a "mood boost" I listen to my favourite playlists on my ipod. I find music can instantly change the way I feel.
The key is to be aware of your feelings and do whatever it takes to move you forward. Even if it's the tiniest step.
