What all do you do during the Holiday's?

I thought this could be a fun topic as we have many moms from all different aspects of life.  I think its interesting to find out what everyone does for the Holiday's!

I love to BAKE!!!!  I make some GREAT fudge and Toffee and Pecan Pie.  Those are my specialties!

We love to decorate the house with our Christmas decor and its pretty much the only time of the year I have decor out lol.  I'm not a decorator by any means!  I need major help in that area.

This year we are letting our kids do all the decorating.  They are having fun with it.  They have been decorating the tree for the past 2 days and then they have twisted lights up the banister only to take them down and play with them. 

So, the house is in a bit of a mess this moment with Holiday clutter but the kids are having fun and that is what matters most! 

We'll be spending the Holiday's in Arizona with my parents this year and that will be fun as we've not had a Christmas with my mom in 2 years!  :)

Awesome Topic! We LOVE Christmas around here! lol :) Our favorite parts are decorating the Christmas tree and house together (while we drink our eggnog.. love that stuff)! We watch tons of Christmas movies and love, love baking also... we make cookies, brownies, cakes and more. Not anything supurb by any means because I honestly am not the best cook in the world.. lol But we have fun with it! We spend Christmas Day at my Dad's with all the family and cook a big Christmas feast! Looking forward to seeing whatever one else does for the holidays!

We usually stay home, it is so difficult to travel with the kids. I LOVE to cook so I make dinner, bake, we put up the tree,  decorate inside and outside. I was raised Jewish so we also celebrate Hanukkah.

Thanks for sharing!  I do hope that we hear from all backgrounds/religions! 

I know about Christmas but I don't fully know about Hanukkaa.  I do however believe there are 8 days of celebration?  I just find it interesting to see what all backgrounds do for the Holiday's.  I know not everyone celebrates however if you do celebrate something around this time please share with us!  :)

Hello Ladies!! I am BIG on Holidays ... but I will be honest - I don't go as out for Christmas as I do Fourth Of July, LOL ... but we are BIG on baking, cookies, cheesecakes, pies ... well, anything we can cook, we do!!! My oldest is really into crafts so she makes ornaments for her grandparents & that's fun. I love to decorate, Christmas lights, mistletoe, candles, stuffed little singing Christmas toys for the babies, and just everything that's fun!! That's what counts the most!! One of our favorite traditions is making "reindeer food" we whip up some oats, brown sugar, regular sugar, sprinkles & white sugar into a brown paper bag that whichever child has decorated to look like a reindeer, we shake up the bag & then sprinkle it outside of the house for the reindeers to have a snack! We also do the traditional Santa cookies & milk w/carrot sticks for the reindeer. I hope everyone is looking forward to a great Holiday Season!!!! :) I also cannot wait to see all of the replies to this post!!

That is so great that you celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah! What a blessing and how fun! I do have a little jewish in my blood line but do not know too much about Hanukkah... would love to learn more though!
