DS is 4. They first met when DS was 3 for a month (Aug-Sept), and again a month ago (April)- for like a hour.

DS keeps asking for his bio-dad, why we cant see him, where he's at, etc. and it breaks my heart having to answer him/lie to him, too.

his bio-dad had court today. not sure of the outcome, but he is either facing 13 years, or rehab/probation. he's really hard into drugs (pills, weed, dabbles into cocaine- from what i know. could be more) and an alcoholic. he lies to DS a lot. in the first month; he stood DS up 3 times. in Apr. he stood DS up twice (thats all i was gonna allow), after DS already seen him, with BD saying he'll meet us at the park/where ever.

my answers to DS is that he's at the doctors (a lie- he's most likely at his dad's house, which is only 15 minutes away), and we arent allowed to go to the doctors place b/c thats not our doctor.

i just dont know what to do :-( Ds wants to see him, but what child doesnt want to see their "dad"? bio-dad in this case, i dont even think he really cares. to me, it seems that if he thinks he can get "in" with me (sexually), then he'll pay attention to DS.. but once he realizes i'm not doing that shit, he starts breaking promises, doesnt care for DS, etc.... and i know that we (me and DS) cannot change who he is- what he's doing, what he's going after in life, etc.

21 year old single mom of a 4 year old boy. Not sure exactly what kind of mom I am, but I get a chance to better myself everyday. My biggest goal for 2010 is to break out of my shell.

~~~ I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.
